864 FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Coverage shots for the 864 Fighting Championship Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina back in 2019. I functioned as a second shooter for the event coverage of the action. It was a unique challenge as we weren’t allowed to stand and shoot but either had to crouch or shoot from the top of the cage, so it ended up being a lot of climbing and crab-walking.

MMA culture is intense in every way, from the time spent preparing for weigh in to the fight day itself. It has its characters, but is also filled with some great sportsmen that give each other an exceptional amount of respect. It was an eye-opening experience.
